I know how much we all look forward to an updated Blog, My Dad does too. This is Amanda, Randall's Daughter. Despite the unpredictable power and Internet supply Dad wanted make sure all of you had something to read when you look for a new update. Everyone is doing well in the DR. They had a good day again today. They got up at 6AM and worked until 12noon. This was when all the locals shut down their businesses. They were getting ready for a Wedding at the compound, Dad thought it should be interesting to see how this occasion would be celebrated. He ended his phone conversation with me by mentioning he had a tidbit of news. That got my attention. He tried sugar cane today (notice the picture) and when asked how it tasted he said it was really hard, so hard, it broke his tooth. He said everyone thought it was quite a humorous situation... poor Dad. But he took it all in stride and was able to laugh at it himself. Other than that I don't know a lot, the phone calls are short and costly but he said to mention that he would add an update as soon as possible. So this is Amanda signing off for the Dominican Team. Have a Good One!

Greetings from the DeHaan family. Glad you are all well and working hard! It was a bit rainy this morning but now cold again (-5). Hope you are keeping cool. Tell Al that the Habs lost against Senators 8 to 3 today. Take care, we are enjoying your pictures and messages. In our prayers.

The project looks to be moving along quite well. Keep up the great work!
I hope you all enjoy your sunny hot Saturday, while we celebrate "Hockey Day in Canada". Sorry Al, the Habs lost a tough one to Ottawa 8-3.
Take care,

Hi, this is Rachel. Uncle Al,we noticed that everyone told you about the Habs loss to Ottawa. We thought we would lift your spirits and let you know that Toronto just lost to the Canucks 6-1. :) Nova Scotia is also thinking about the DR team and praying for you all. God Bless and keep up the good work! I'll be looking for pictures the next time I am on the island.

Hello from Mermaid. What fun to read the info and comments on the blog - pretty impressive, Randall. It's great to hear and see that things are going well. We pray for you often - that you will be safe on the site and that God will use your presence there to do great things for the people of the D.R., for you as a team and for each of you individually. How have you been spending the time that you are not on the construction site?

Hi DR team!
Hope you are having an awesome experience! We will pray for you that you will stay safe and really take back something from your time there.
Hope you don't have the runs. If so i hope you brought Pepto Bismol or try eating bananas I think they are supposed to help.
